Sony electronics has just announced a firmware upgrade for it’s popular handheld gaming console, the PSP. After installing the new 3.95 version of the firmware, you can now customize the PSP’s gaming keys to PS1 specifications. What this firmware essentially will do is, it will let you play a number of PS1 titles, which were previously not compatible with the PSP due to the differences in the game key configurations. One more major feature that comes with the new firmware is that you can turn your PS3 off or keep it on with the PSP, which incidentally was used by gamers as a controller for the PS3. You can download the new firmware directly onto your PSP via Sony’s online service or alternatively download the firmware 3.95 into your computer and then install it onto your PSP. The firmware will be available for download very shortly.
