Nintendo really love to up the ante for their competition don’t they? Word is that their hugely anticipated new game Wii Fit will feature a cool new Balance Board that will simulate an experience of skiing in the slopes. Called Wii Ski, the ‘E’ rated game will support upto four player at a time who will have to shift their weight left or right on the board, just like with an actual snowboard, to be able to participate in the game. The game can also be played in multi-player mode without the balance board by using the Wii remote and Nunchuk and just turning to the sides simulating the real ski actions while the peripherals can also be used as stocks to speed up.
Of course, the best part of the game will again be the option of players being able to create their own charters with custom outfits and ski equipments and players will also be allowed to import their own Miis. After that, players can really let their hair down with races, slaloms, freestyle challenges, ski school and night skiing with fireworks in the sky. For $29.99, Wii Ski might not be such a bad bargain, especially if you can’t really afford going for an actual ski trip this summer.
The game releases May 13th so I won’t advice you to take out that second mortgage for those tickets To Aspen just yet.
